May 26, 2013 · Once the file-system is mounted, you can use the "cp" (copy) command to copy files from the NTFS drive. The root of the file-system will be at /mnt/old_data. Note that the previous mount command will result in all the files being read-only. The NTFS driver supplied with unRAID is not able to be used in a read/write mode.

- The underlying folder can also have permissions assigned to it. If that’s the case, whichever of the restrictions is most restrictive always applies. If the share permissions grant a user Full Control permission but the folder permission grants the user only Read permission, for example, the user has only Read permission for the folder.

The searching and downloading all seems to be working fine, but when Sick Beard processes the downloaded and places it in the relevant TV series folder, the permission of the folder is such that it doesn't allow me access.

I have installed both 7.1 and 7.3 SC and set up the music directories accordingly, which is a mapped drive back to my unRAID NAS. The issue is I can not seem to access the "music folder" from SC, SC just hangs and eventually I will have to stop and restart SC.

May 28, 2018 · Yeah, thats the general rule for any "system" files, you dont want removing permission from them. If you want to see what permissions you currently have you can run the following command: ls -la (from the command line on the directory you want to see the permissions).

Your computer would have to host a SMB share/folder that you give UnRAID permission to access. From there RSYNC could get it done. Really though unless you're on a Domain with many many machines it's generally easier to just setup a program like FreeFileSync and a .bat file running in task scheduler on the client(s).

Be default Unraid uses the user nobody and group users for permissions. This is set in the PUID = 99 PGID = 100 variables in the docker container. This ensures that the permissions are set correctly for Unraid. Sounds like your issue is how you have users setup on the Mac and Win machines.
